I thought I'd start with when Laramie and I met. This picture was taken probably 2 minutes into our first conversation. He has always claimed the look on my face says, “I want to have this man's babies!” I've told him it's the look I use when I'm thinking, “Who the heck IS this guy?” Little did we know... The two of us at a company holiday party in 1997. I used to have some *really* red hair.
Skye's nursery was done in moons and stars. This is one angle. Another angle of Skye's nursery. I just love her changing table.
Laramie and Erica about two weeks before she was born. By this point I am huge and ready to get her out. These are the only clothes, besides one tent-sized dress, that would fit anymore. Even before she was born, Skye was helping to promote the spirit of diversity, acceptance and love. I am riding on a float in the 2001 San Francisco Gay Pride Parade, supporting my friends. We are promoting female love and awareness. I am the one in the brown dress, holding her stomach :)
Erica in labor, after about 30 hours. Next time I'll remember not to wear the tiger striped undies, or at least cover them up before a picture is taken! Erica being prepped for her c-section after close to 63 hours of labor. I remember saying, "Are you ready to be a daddy? She's coming soon."
