Skye's service was at Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, Calfornia. This was taken during her viewing. We had a closed-casket service. To my knowlege, this is the only picture of Skye in her casket (at my request, as I wanted NO pictures taken of her in her casket). |
Beautiful flowers. The casket arrangement is from me, her dad, my mom and brother. The vase of baby pink roses in front of the memorial board is from my friends Jackie and Bill. One of my cousins, Lee, made me a wreath from flowers she gathered that day and dried. I love the wreath. |

The moon and star flowers were from my dad, step-mom, sister and grandmother. I still have one of the stars. The memory board was made by my special friend, Amber. Laramie still has the board at his house. |
Laramie sang three very wonderful songs for Skye's service. This picture does a good job of showing the passion and emotion he put into his singing that day. |

Skye is buried in Mt. View Cemetery in Oakland, Calfornia. It is a very old and beautiful cemetery. Her grave is the one with the yellow and white daisies. |

Skye and Mommy will share a grave some day. It is a double grave, and I will be buried above her. The headstone will then have my name and dates, the word "Mother" below that, and just below the plaque it will say, "Reunited in Heaven." |
I had this plaque added after the headstone was placed, so it's not the very best layout. This is my favorite picture of us, plus a letter I wrote to her about a month after she died. If you click the picture, you'll be able to read the letter. |

I had this tattoo done 10 months after she died. It is on my left shoulder blade. This picture was taken not long after it was done, so it is not totally healed. The tattoo artist knew what it was for, took great care and was absolutely wonderful. |
